KIM JEONG HYO

I combine at least two or three scenes, and they unfold continuously according to the flow of consciousness. You could call it a landscape of consciousness, where even fragments of my childhood enter the frame.

The work below contains a single scene, yet it merges the temporal layers of past and present—an old temple overlapped with a fire hydrant. It was inspired by a memory of my mother applying traditional Korean paper to the door every spring (though it may have actually been autumn).

The upper work expresses the irony of humans marveling at the grandeur of nature, while a human-made object (Anthony Browne’s figure) turns its gaze back at them.

나는 최소한 2~3장면을 섞는다

이는 의식의 흐름에 따라 지속으로 생성된다. 거기에 나만의 어린 시절 장면까지 들어오는 의식의 풍경화라 볼 수 있다

아래 작품은 한 장면이지만 오래된 사찰과 소화전이 겹친 과거와 현대의 시간성과 어릴 적 엄마가 봄이면(사실 가을이었을 수도..) 한식 문에 창호지를 직접 바르셨던 기억이 떠올라 그린 작품 이다.

윗 작품은 대자연을 감탄하며 바라보는 인간들을 인간이 만든 입체물(애서니 브라운)이 인간을 바라보게 하는 아이러니의 표현이라 볼 수 있다.
